Louisiana Cancer Foundation

The mission of the Louisiana Cancer Foundation is to promote quality-of-life for cancer patients and family members while also providing the citizens of Louisiana with accurate and up-to-date information on prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. The Louisiana Cancer Foundation was founded in 1999 by the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute for the purpose of increasing public awareness, early detection, treatment, and research for cancer in our state.

Patient Education Center

Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute maintains a library of brochures, books, videos and other information for patients and their families to learn about the patient's illness, the many treatment options and other resources available. This includes access to information on the internet, lists of referring organizations, contact information for cancer patients, survivors, family members and care givers around the world, and much more.

Financial Counseling

Our experienced, compassionate staff files all forms for private insurance and Medicare, answers questions, provides referrals and helps to make this process as convenient as possible.

The best interests of patients is the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute's primary focus. That includes monitoring, influencing and publicizing state and federal programs that affect cancer care.

American Cancer Society

Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute works closely with the American Cancer Society through a reciprocating referral agreement which enables each organization to provide information about the latest cancer treatments, tips for early detection and prevention, and guidance to community resources and services for patients and their families. 1-800-ACS-2345.

National Cancer Institute

Accurate, up-to-date information is available for patients, their families, healthcare professionals and the general public by dialing 1-800-4-CANCER.
