Treatment Options
One of the most effective tools in our extensive arsenal against cancer is radiation therapy. What is Radiation Therapy? Radiation Therapy is the use of ionizing radiation (high energy x-rays) to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Radiation Therapy injures or destroys cells in the area being treated (target) by damaging their genetic material, making it impossible for these cells to continue to grow and divide. Radiation can be used to destroy the entire tumor (curative) or to shrink the tumor
Theranostics Therapy
Theranostics is the term used to describe the combination of using one radioactive drug to identify (diagnose) and a second radioactive drug to deliver therapy to treat the main tumor and any metastatic tumors with greater accuracy than ever before.
